Dunno if they've done live shows before but 13.04.2024 they're playing in Oulu
wishing I lived nearby so I could attend! there's like a noise show per year in Iberia :-)

Re: bootlegs sold as original releases

bought a Ba.Ku - ritual totemic stone tape on discogs. I think the tape I got is a bootleg. side B repeated on both side A and B (side B being substantially lower than side A) and the j-card printing left my hands dirty with paint. dunno if anybody else has the original to compare, but I really thin...

Re: WHITE CENTIPEDE NOISE PODCAST

I have to agree, the paywall makes sense. It's a lot of audiovisual work being done by WCN, and nothing on earth is free.
I'll always support the podcast as long as I have the money to do so because I find it essential and I want it to keep going.

Re: Film Discussion / Now Watching

Showgirls is great. Thoroughly enjoyable film. For those who liked it, Benedetta is the latest Verhoeven film and I highly recommend it. It's a sort of testament by the director, saluting several other films of his, Showgirls being the most quoted one. Feauturing a gorgeous, provocative Virginie Efi...

Re: Cut Up

I have been thinking about something for the last few months and I don't know if I'm wrong or not, but wouldn't the Octatrack be great for a cut up noise live? It has the function to manipulate any machine input in real time (I can't remember how many inputs though) and the crossfader must be usefu...

Re: Film Discussion / Now Watching

Saw Vortex by Gaspar Noé on the movies this week. I'm a huge fan of his films, and even though I think he some times benefits, sometimes loses with the exploitation present in his cinema, this one was so precise, truthful and ultimately real that I finished watching the film literally speechless. C...

Re: Now Playing

Been listening to digital The Rita - "Lake Depths Lurker", anticipating the cassette on Cruel Symphonies. Quite dynamic for HWN. The crunch here, always exploding unto itself, in constant flow like an active volcano. It acts like a brain massage. Really looking forward to hearing this on c...

Re: Noise Heads / Musicians

Do you have any reference for learning soldering then? best advice I got on soldering (after 20 years of doing it wrong) - you're not melting the solder onto the joint; you're heating the joint, and the solder will flow onto it. hold your iron to the point you want to solder, count to three, then t...

Re: Noise Heads / Musicians

Would you be willing to try to make one yourself? It's very inexpensive and easy if you have the basic supplies (cables, connectors, piezo elements, solder+iron, and perhaps some non-essential luxuries like flux and wire cutters/strippers). The initial investment in such supplies could be all you n...

Waiting for the european distributors to start selling contact mics again so maybe I can try and get inside this world of making noise. Would you be willing to try to make one yourself? Re: Noise Heads / Musicians

I can make music, either electronic or with a guitar. Also can work with sequencers, synthesizers (subtractive synthesis), drum machines etc. I'd love to learn modular but it's really out of my price range. Also I don't make noise. I'm a huge noob still. Waiting for the european distributors to star...

Re: HEAT SIGNATURE - Brain On War C60 (Dada Drumming, 2021)

There will be a CD reissue in not too long, if I'm not mistaken. So get that one when it comes out, or search Soulseek later on if your wallet's empty. This is really good news. Missed my chance of having the cassette last time Oskar put it on the WCN website... I hope the CD doesn't sell out as fa...

Re: Film Discussion / Now Watching

Watched Amateur by Hal Hartley last night. The only Hartley film I knew was "The Unbelievable Truth", which I saw prior to this one. The deadpan dialogues here are great, story has the right amount of suspense and it doesn't linger on the unknown to make it bloom - the tragic last chapters...

Re: Extreme metal (death/black/etc)

Gave Godkillers "The Rebirth Of The Middle Ages" a spin last night and I got to say I was blown away... similar to second wave norwegian black metal but with more symphonic elements, which aren't cheesy at all. the keys complement the guitars well and the melodies are really immersive, wit...

Re: Film Discussion / Now Watching

This past week was pretty much a film per day: Love Exposure : I've been delaying this one since 2013, at least. A four hour journey through the psyche of a couple of japanese characters, teenagers or early adults, covering religion (christianity in particular), horniness and love. Pretty remarkable...

I too have to ask if this coming out on CD as well in the future?
I love the record but I usually prefer CDs, so I'm buying the vinyl if it's the only format this will be edited on

Re: Forgotten noises from the entrails of the vault

Great thread

Last year's surprise for me was the Sons of God - Electric Fauna tape on The Tapeworm
An ongoing barrage of monolithic yet contemplative, sweet noise textures

I don't think it's uploaded anywhere but there are still copies around stores and the label might have some left
