Re: Joy De Vivre three new tapes OUT NOW
A review by Frans de Waard, "Vital Weekly" n. 1332 (http://www.vitalweekly.net): CRÍA CUERVOS - BOVARISM (cassette by Joy De Vivre) A little research learned that I had not heard of Cría Cuervos in a long time. Maybe a collaborative release with Moljebka Pvlse was the last time (Vital Week...

Pretty obsessed with RfR lately... [Whoops, I've just noticed they were mentioned earlier in this thread...]

Re: Straight Panic, "Brushfire Lorca" CS (Deathbed Tapes)
Pretty cool to see Lorca used in a PE/noise context! Judging from your description I suppose "Poet in New York" plays a big part in it. Will track down this release!

Re: Religious noise, industrial, and related genres
Never knew that MB is Jehova's witness. I don't doubt you but you have any source for this? Yup. There's a variety of online souces about it, but maybe this interview has the most interesting answer: https://www.special-interests.net/forum/index.php?topic=226.0 I think he converted around 1983 and ...

Re: Noise Rock (Touch & Go, AmRep, Skin Graft, etc)
Big fan of the genre but if I had to pick an all-time favourite I'd go with Dazzling Killmen's "Face of Collapse".
If you have never heard of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI4hYND ... itedude877
Super tight, super dark noise/math/nowave.

Re: Modern/Contemporary Art
that's genious! Especially the use of acrylics(?) so one can produce the skin like texture in something that looks like a baroque oil painting, great! And over all I really love that tattered and decaying feel, perfect! Glad you find that interesting. His use of peeled or otherwise manipulated laye...

Nicola Samorì. Amazing take on 17th century painting and sculpture via Art informel. I don't know if "contemporary Baroque" would make much sense as a definition, but anyway. And yes, Behemoth have used a couple of paintings of his for their covers... https://www.nicolasamori.it/ https://w...

Re: Religious noise, industrial, and related genres
Definitely MB/Maurizio Bianchi, who has been a Jehova's witness since the '80's.
Plus, off the top of my head, Herukrat (https://herukrat.bandcamp.com/).

Each one of the new cd batch is really strong, but I was especially impressed by the Toepfer cd. Engaging clinical/cold approach to harsh noise. Kind of L-ne/Trente Oiseaux gravitas but in an overblown HN context.

Fawn Limbs from Finland+US: https://fawnlimbs.bandcamp.com/ They tag themselves as "Geometric Noise/Mathematical Chaos", which is fitting. Progressive, complex, but still really aggressive and dark. Great lyrics and visuals as well. I'd start from "Harm Remissions" or "Sleep...
