As for Aspa and his national socialist music scene connections, there is this article from a couple of year ago. Make whatever you want from it

Re: Compilations

The blank cassette compilations on Steep Gloss work well. Six artists filling one hour using blank cassettes as the only sound source. It brings back the old mantra 'tape hiss is essential'. one of my favourite from recent times, quite inspiring and a rewarding listen. The Steep Gloss Blank Tapes' ...

Re: Abstract/Weird/Outer edges

TAC was a very interesting project, at least from what i've listened up until now (the mini-cd on Generator and 2 things he did with Factor x and another one with R&G, Factor x and Bolus both on Nicolas early 90s labels)

Cheers for the youtube link

Re: Abstract/Weird/Outer edges

Haha, we can always add a t-shirt from Plymouth, VOD style.

Hope Southampton and Brighton don't get jealous. We can do a double cdr for them

Re: Abstract/Weird/Outer edges

I assume everyone feels like there is a community (of whatever), whenever things are happening in person, gigs in our discussion. Online presence and labels might exist somewhere but that doesn't mean things are happening there and that might be what people are missing to make them feel a bit better...

Re: Abstract/Weird/Outer edges

I am pretty sure it is the same with most of the smaller places/cities around UK (if we take out the Yorkshire noise gang which are not in one place)

Re: Abstract/Weird/Outer edges

Krayon was a great little label and the guy who run it was such a nice chap. Yes, he's not been active for a long time now. First time i met him was at Colour out of Space (probably 2013?) and he was so happy that Steve Fricker (Onomatopeia) was originally from Bournemouth like himself

MuhMur Radio & Podcast

I know that Steve (Cammack) is here in the forum but probably won't mention it, so i am taking advantage to let you know that his radio show MuhMur Radio (on Soundart Radio 102.5 FM, Devon, UK), has changed mixcloud link . The new one is here (with the latest show after 6 weeks off) https://www.mixc...

Re: Compilations

Hmmm, that's an interesting one. Compilations were always a strange cookie for me. I was never fully behind a noise compilation to be honest and that was only because i always felt with noise and experimental musicians that you need to give them time to have the full picture of what they are after. ...

Re: Introduce yourself

Oh wow, I've been to that store around 2014 while on vacation, I was just getting into (harsh) noise around that time. That place was so hidden, good thing someone on pure stench forum recommended it. And I'll never forget asking for recommendations "that are not 100% harsh noise", since ...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello there. Happy to be on a Forum again. Hopefully things go well and smoothly here. I used to run Electric Knife Record Shop in London from 2013 until end of 2016. Now, living in Plymouth and run it as a mailorder only. Used to have a label as well (The 7.17 from West Wittering...) which was/is o...
