Re: Hospital/NWN Fest in Osaka / Machine Parts in Tokyo
I am very happy to see everyone this happy, still! Everyone in Osaka is still glowing with sheer happiness of all of it. Just today I talked with Higashiseto at Forever Records and he told me it was nice to see people so interested in the noise tapes and all those things, and eventhough it got busy ...

0g Today!! Also convinced Tamon to bring Weiches Loch records to the merch table, so a good opportunity to buy them. 12"split with Oboo and two new 7" splits with Vexation Soul and Kinzoku Taiko!

Re: Hospital/NWN Fest in Osaka / Machine Parts in Tokyo
Any idea how to get around Osaka after midnight? The metro runs from 5am until midnight. I am staying closer to the NWN/Hospital fest location so it is not exactly a walking distance. Taxi perhaps? Or bicycle. But all the shows in Japan end well before the last train so that shouldn't be a problem....

Re: Noise with Drums
I think Merzbow's kibako 2012 is one of the best Merzbow releases ever, lots of percussion and drums, sometimes sounding like taiko, sometimes just sounding like throwing a bunch of 2x4's down a staircase, and I love both. Also all th other sounds in it too feel visceral, like flesh, bone and sinew ...

I am all booked up, pumped to catch Beherit and Genocide Organ above all but the whole lineup is killer. Planning on being at Machine Parts as well, which is like half my "bucket list" artists. Vomir and Government Alpha are playing Ochiai Soup on April 3 too. Suppression are touring arou...

Re: KATABASIS fanzine
Got my copies today and I must say that I was really positively surprised with how really good this looks. Visually and thematically one of the most interesting zines I remember ever seeing, even though people involved have their separate styles and are free to express themselves in however they see...

Re: Happy Noise?
https://electrichobo.bandcamp.com/track/todellisuuden-j-lki I remember when I was mixing this, I was laughing out of pure joy because the climax sounded like Western gunfight in a tin pan factory with a 10000 participants. I prefer to see the sort of joyful release of energy compared to seeing anoth...

I am trying to figure out a some sort of arrangement with a recordshop if they could sell and mail records to the outside world slightly more conveniently than us.

Also especially Environment 0g in Osaka for noise, experimental and electronic music. Really great venue with a huge sound system and frequent noise shows.

Re: Travelling overseas for a noise show? Who's dunnit?
For anyone who doesn't care where they'll stay as long as it is cheap and there's a roof, there are cheap (and I think good) hostels in Nishinari where you can stay for less than 5 euros a night. Near Dobutsuenmae station at least two or three, but haven't had to stay in one for a long time so don't...

This one is mine. Not so much noise, but not music either I guess. Maybe noise or music for those who are tired of noise or music or both, I don't know.

yeah, exactly! To clarify I was thinking of something more power eletroney perhaps with some steady beat or other machine induced pulse, abstract sound is just abstract sound.

Re: Time signatures in noise
as the old saying goes; "all music is in 4/4 if you stop counting like a nerd!", hah. I'd guess it mostly comes down to the gear and machines people use, if you don't change the beat, that usually is probably 4/4. Some modular stuff usually goes to 5/4 or 7/4. Personally I can't think why ...

BBVGC is a trio with Guilty Connector, Hanochi from Ferocious X and the third person I only know from this connection, but I am sure they have other bands too that I am not aware of. Live it's always awesome in it's primitivity and loudness, really just a fun bunch to watch! Kanda Oboo is an experi...

Katsuhiko Yamashita's performance with dry ice and metal objects is something I will never get tired of and it has inspired me in so many ways to search for approaches that don't require electricity at all. That performances is awesome! He sorta reminds of Kiyoshi "white gloves" Mizutani,...

Re: Kansai Noise Now
Metal percussion stuff! Kinzoku Taiko usually playes as duo with Sandersonia Muh on violin, which makes an amazing GY!BE-like ambiance, but he also collaborates with other kinds of people and plays solo things too. I don't know why I can't seem to fish out any newer clips but am too tired right now ...
