Re: Now Playing

Bastard Noise - RRRevenge (self-released) - The ol' RRR diss record. First time I heard it, I wrote it off as a middle of the road BN release. Revisiting it has catapulted it into at least the top 10 of their discography. So much psycho/weird experimentation going on here. Max Julian Eastman - Zabr...

Re: Self Releasing/Starting Labels

People are still using Gimp? Jesus Christ. Using Gimp for artwork is like using Audacity for a audio project with multiple stems. Do yourself a favour and save up for something like Affinity Photoshop or something that's at least not as archaic as Gimp. Yeh you can learn Gimp but it will save a lot...

Hospital Productions

While there has been a discussion of favorite Prurient releases on here before, I would like to know what everyone's favorite release(s) on Hospital. For me personally, I would have to say the self-titled Skin Crime LP stands tall on both an audio and visual front. "White Eyes of Winter are Wat...

The new Deathprod is really great. Shocked I never see him mentioned that much in any noise circles. He is an absolute legend to me.

I need to do my research into the Great White North some more. That being said, anything Ryan Bloomer touches is blessed as fuck.

Been taking my most recent listening times to catch up on records I never got around to listening to upon initial purchase. Surprised no one has mentioned "Digging Through Time" yet... Excellent book on the many live performances of G.X./the Haters. Always have it ready to pull out on my nightstand.

Oil of Beauty - System Voltages (Chondritic Sound Are there other releases like this out there? This was a new one to me, and it really blew me away. One other on American Tapes, and that's it. Of course if you are looking for a harsher Olson fix, Daylight Savings Time T.X. is a great project.

Oil of Beauty - System Voltages (Chondritic Sound) One of the many aliases of John Olson. This one is all about metal clanging & mixer feedback. John is a master of the latter, in my opinion. This tape shows it off in full effect. Infibulation - Live Rehearsal (self-released) Zach Vogle of Magg...

Re: Bastard Noise

Every year I get really excited about "Our Earth's Blood IV" and loose steam halfway through. It's a daunting release, for sure. I have only made it through once. The ones I remember standing out from it are: "Venom Bath" w/ Jay Randall & P.W.E "War Loving God" w/ ...

Off-Shoots of Macronympha

I find myself loving Rodger's One Dark Eye to be much better than anything I have heard from the Macronympha catalogue. I am wondering if there is any other projects or albums you would recommend between Stella or Joe that would be worth checking out?

No clue where to start with WJ,but I'm pretty sure there are some experts on the board. Werewolf Jerusalem's "Untitled IV" is my go-to. Far and away it is the best Werewolf Jerusalem release, in my opinion. It is just so creepy and atmospheric in a way that not many other noise releases c...
