Off-Shoots of Macronympha

I find myself loving Rodger's One Dark Eye to be much better than anything I have heard from the Macronympha catalogue. I am wondering if there is any other projects or albums you would recommend between Stella or Joe that would be worth checking out?

Re: Now Playing

Lately, it's been: One Dark Eye - Transmissions of Fistulae Auris (I know you hear about records being front-loaded sometimes, but this one is the opposite. The back end stretch is unbelievable) The Haters - Future Cheers Gnawed - Subterranean Rites And on a non-noise end, the Magrudergrind self-tit...

Re: Sissy Spacek fun chat thread

I find "Gong" and "Blear" to be particularly great records in their catalog.

MSBR

An artist that I am sure has changed many lives in this forum (myself included). I am wondering where to go with Koji's material beyond his classics ( Structured Suicide , Fracture of Silence , collabs with Ramirez ), as there is quite an abundance of material and some of the pricier titles are not ...

Re: Bastard Noise

Bastard Noise was my introduction to noise and still remains a heavy favorite. It seems like while they do have a "sound" that people associate with them, they do branch off into fucking weird territory sometimes. I would say check these releases out if you want to get a good idea of the s...

Re: prized possessions

I love a good rare piece. While I have not been grabbing as much lately due to an upcoming move, some of my favorites include: Prurient - Devil in Broad Daylight 2xCS Prurient - African Division CS Prurient & Aaron Dilloway - Disappearance of the Maya 4xCS Deathpile - Triumph of Death CS (this o...

Re: Best of Richard Ramirez/Black Leather Jesus/WWJ/etc

No clue where to start with WJ,but I'm pretty sure there are some experts on the board. Werewolf Jerusalem's "Untitled IV" is my go-to. Far and away it is the best Werewolf Jerusalem release, in my opinion. It is just so creepy and atmospheric in a way that not many other noise releases c...

The Japanese - American Noise Treaty

Alright noise people, I have been itching to see some sort of debate here since this forum started. Since I have yet to see any by now, I figured I would do it myself with this topic: In your opinion, which country had the better showing on "The Japanese - American Noise Treaty?" It is rea...

Re: Now Playing

This morning's jam was Testicle Hazard's "Kiki and Kastor." Did not fuck with this one at all when I first heard it, but this morning's commute gave me a better chance to absorb it in whole. While there is a lot of thin, sputter synth going down mainly, the cut-up work in the background is...

Grind and Intensive Care were both mentioned plenty already, both are amazing. Other titles I have yet to see mentioned:

THE RITA

I HAVE BEEN FUCKING OBSESSED WITH THE RITA AS OF LATELY. After watching the WCN podcast with Sam, I have come back around to revisiting some releases I have not heard in a while or just straight up dismissed the first time. "Thousands of Dead Gods," "Voyage of the Decima MAS," &...

Re: Prurient thread

Prurient is fantastic, and it is pretty astounding that he has succeeded in performing a variety of styles so well under the name for several decades now. A release I have yet to see brought up on here is "African Division." It's a short one, but absolutely killer crude noise. Happy to own...

Re: THE DREADED GEAR THREAD

Lately, I have been enjoying the process of making tape loops and source tape again with the new Portastudio I picked up. Usually just use iPhone voice memos nowadays to record snippets of sound I find interesting during my weekday activities (work, playing with the cat I'm sitting, going for walks)...

Re: Underrated and under hyped projects

Flesh Shuddering. Caleb is a real one, and many know him as the owner of the Cruel Symphonies label. But as an artist, he's as harsh and dynamic as they come. "Purple OP Amp Pedal" is a good place to start, and we have a couple things planned out together that I think will blow minds when...

Ken, 25, from New Jersey. I have been active since about 2016, working primarily under my initials, KPG. Other projects include Remember a Day, Screwicide and Last Day with my Garbage.
