Re: Modular Noise

Strange. yeah im not sure whats up with it. i guess im just going to use it until it perishes and hopefully by then i can find a good recommendation for a modular noise PA I've...

Re: Modular Noise
Ouch hehehe! I don't think it's linked to your modular system, unless you are going straight out of it without stepping the signal down to line level.

Re: Modular Noise
Never had the original Planar. I suggest that you also check the Erica Synths Joystick (amazing) or the Doepfer one: https://www.ericasynths.lv/shop/eurorack-modules/by-series/black-series/black-joystick2/ https://doepfer.de/a1744.htm Both excellent modules. There are also other smaller manufacture...

Re: Modular Noise
I think that everything can become harsh. The West vs. East coast discussion is more of a construct or a philosophy than a fixed reality in terms of final result. For example, it is obvious that you'll get harsher sounds with a wave folded sine wave instead of trying to distort a square wave. Amplit...

Re: Modular Noise
Thanks for share your experiences Marciume. My shakerbox is connect to some to pedals before modular (Boss odb3, behringer clone of Boss hyperfuzz and and Boss g7 EQ in serie, then to Pittsburgh Inout for extra boost). The ideia is to process the signal further with some modules and Cv. Crimesofthe...

Re: Religious noise, industrial, and related genres
The most prolific harsh noise project with Christian themes is/was Ataraxy from Germany: https://ataraxyharshnoise.bandcamp.com http://ataraxyharshnoise.blogspot.com/p/biography.html Most probably some of you were also in contact with Gag for splits, trades, whatever. We also shared 3 or 4 releases....

Re: Modular Noise
So, for the modular noise crew, I need some help and advice: in your opinion what is the best module(s) in eurorack to process a shaker box with contact mic? I tried some (euro Noiseswah, Plague Bearer, Random Source Res. EQ), and the results, at least for me, wasn’t much satisfactory like I expect...

Re: Production Techniques
I approach recording as a deliberate choice and part of the whole noise/music making. Depending on what I wanna achieve, I choose the medium and the circumstances. The basic recording setup goes through a Zoom H8 (expensive but a great investment!), which is also used for field and live recordings a...

Re: Modular Noise
I got into modular first and foremost to (re)create Berlin school sounds and vibes. I was lucky enough to find a "full system" second hand for a great price and then expanded it with other modules which were selected according to my needs. Fortunately, in that first system there were also ...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hey there!
Here's Attila from Switzerland. I've been playing noise with MeVdA since 2007 and with Mulo Muto since 2013. I also play in Insomnia Isterica (grindcore) and run L'è Tütt Folklor Records.
I haven't been very (re)active on forums since years but I welcome the birth of this new one.
