Yeah totally agree sometimes (if not often...) the context of a release can be more important than the sounds itself.

Last Machinefest, could go at the end of my holiday but decided not to because wanted a few rest days before work. Can't fix the stupid as they say.

I've been looking for distortion or fuzz that makes my RD-8 drum machine sound absolutly horrible but no luck so far. Happy to take any recommendations. I've tried Proco Rat and Digitech Death Metal & Carcosa. Maybe try overdrive + compressor combo, that should do the trick pretty well. Or else...

VOD doing re-releases of obscure and hard to get material only. Surely VOD should do what they want to do but I'm just jealous because I never have money for it and I rather see more affordable CD-re-releases.
