This looks like a great audio interview with her:

Re: Judy Dunaway - Balloon Music (1998)
Oh nice. I saw her perform in London in 2016 and really enjoyed it. I’d say her work definitely works better when you can see her making the noises and balloons happen. But the sonics were great too and there were some superb drones from a huge balloon.

Re: Kevin Drumm thread about Kevin Drumm
The Kevin Drumm Bandcamp subscription is the gift that never stops giving. 70% of it is great, not just good. I'll have days at home where he's literally the only thing I'm listening to for 8 to 10 hours straight. If anyone's interested, I can post a list of favorites if you don't feel like taking ...

Re: Going to be in the UK... June 19th - July 1st. What's good?
Travel between North Wales and South Wales is very difficult. Spillers is in Cardiff which is in the South. Cardiff also has a decent castle but Conwy and Caernarfon in the north are spookier. The North also has the excellently named Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch...

Re: prize possessions
All the Vagina Dentata Organ albums. Timeless classics. A friend wrote recently that all vinyl is haunted by ghosts. I want some context for this take. Well he is a practitioner of Voudon and here is his take: https://twitter.com/spaceweather9/status/1512804369552580608?s=21&t=V_8aqAuWcI9kb6Drl...
Re: Classical
I also have an increasing obsession with Messiaen. Lots of mad themes about the abyss, a symphony composed when he was captive in a concentration camp etc. A lot of great music. The church organ stuff is mental.
Re: Classical
I’d recommend UK people check out performances by Apartment House if they can.
I’ve seen them do avant classical pieces by Julian Eastman, Herman Nitsch and Jim O’Rourke and they have all been amazing.

Quite a few OG pressings of TG and Nocturnal Emissions too.
A nice stack of 7” by The Haters and GX.
Oh and a signed copy of Coil’s “Anal Staircase”. A friend wrote recently that all vinyl is haunted by ghosts. Doubly so with this one.

If visiting Donlon you can also check out the site of TG’s Death Factory studios at 10 Martello Street and TOPY HQ at 50 Beck Road. Both are a short walk away.

In London? No especially amazing shops, but Cafe OTO is a good venue in the evening that’s a cafe and shop by day. They sell music and books. A lot of free improv stuff but some noisy/experimental things too. (They have Personal Best zine and some of the Amphetamine Sulphate booklets for example). B...

Women In Noise zine #1
Hello, first post. Women In Noise is an interesting Instagram account and they are now doing a zine which can be ordered as a hardcopy or read online for free. https://womenofnoise.bandcamp.com/merch/won-zine-1 Looks interesting on a first skim. (I’m not involved with but thought it was worth mentio...
