Re: Noise with Drums
My own project Nervous Corps: https://mondoanthem.bandcamp.com/album/dead-system-ii-cdr I had an electronic drum kit that i ran thru my gear then proceeded to destroy rhythm (haha). There is also the Nervous Corps 2xc30 release on Maternal Infection that is all drum driven noise, total destruction!...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hey! i have a queer noise/powerelectronics project called Frenzied Destruction :) i first got into noise in the early 2000s from a grindcore / crust background and had my first tape released by the french label underground pollution in 2007 - there were other digital releases that disappeared into ...

Re: Noise & The Hi-Fi
All I really need is a nice pair of headphones and for whatever equipment I'm using, whether engaging with an analogue or digital format, to not completely and utterly suck ass. That aside, I'm really not too picky? I'm too poor to be picky.

Re: Dislikes and turnoffs
I like edgy stuff too... Why don't we see intestines and exploding heads in anime anymore?! MAKE ANIME GORY AGAIN! Revenger 's début episode had some promising retro blood spray, and of course last season's Chainsaw Man got exquisitely disgusting in places, so I wouldn't say gonzo anime gore is a d...

Re: Likes and Turn-ons
- Multiple different layers of activity, some of which may be independently identified and focused upon but which overall overwhelm or suffocate the listener. - Truly tactile sound in general, what feels like I could reach out and touch it, whether or not that might be dangerous. - On the opposite e...

Re: (Potentially) "Problematic" Lyrics/Themes in Noise Music
It's pretty much entirely on a case-by-case basis, albeit with some broad trends. I can at least enjoy or grudgingly respect some really questionable shit if I can connect with some element outside of that shock factor, but if you're not bringing some level of vulnerability or insight to the materia...

Re: Grindcore / Noisecore / Powerviolence / Gorenoise
The greatest thing about powerviolence is how it proves my longstanding suspicion that the ideal band lineup contains at least two bassists at any given time. 100% backed. “Guitars are fine” or whatever but you look at bands like MITB, Water Torture, Scaphe (??)…. Uhhhhhh anyone want to help me out...

Re: Grindcore / Noisecore / Powerviolence / Gorenoise
The greatest thing about powerviolence is how it proves my longstanding suspicion that the ideal band lineup contains at least two bassists at any given time. This is not a slight against the guitar as both a source of melody and a noisemaking device, but I feel like too few people outside of this n...

Re: Dislikes and turnoffs
Echo or delay on vocals. Never like it and never will. Especially in P.E. Although it is a finicky thing, I'm largely on the opposite side of this issue. Something like Strict's "Stark Weather" where the delay transforms the vocals into a further whorl of noise is particularly effective, ...

Re: Noise Artists: What are you doing and what's on your mind RIGHT NOW?
The mix of fairly serious executive dysfunction and getting very sick for a few weeks has set back certain plans I've had. Picking away at the mountain in hopes of shaping it into something meaningful, as well as setting certain deadlines to force myself to do *something* sooner rather than later. L...

Re: Introduce yourself
JM/Polecat, 30, Philadelphia. I make something approaching power electronics as Subaltern, although not much has appeared yet because I take forever to work on things; past projects include Silence and Secrecy (depressive noisy microtonal synthpop) and Fever Carpets (knockoff :zoviet*france: sound c...
