Well this thread certainly bummed me out. I never want tapes to go away. CDs suck. Vinyl is too expensive. Definitely not paying money for a dressed-up USB stick either. Tapes are perfect. Speaking of tape decks. Theres a country (India) of over 1 billion people where tape decks are still seemingly common. They seem to be massive heavy duty beast machines with speed controls and other add ons. I do wonder how much it would cost to get one of these decks from India. https://youtu.be/37...

One I think is really interesting is when HNW made this really interesting shift from “dark and scary” to artists being obsessed with stuff like Katy Perry and a really “bright” and “pink” aesthetic - I want to say this was really “2013” if you had to date it.
