Re: Best of Richard Ramirez/Black Leather Jesus/WWJ/etc
I'm really liking the two Werewolf Jerusalem tracks included on the New Forces reissue of The Rita's Magazine, really slow moving and crunchy. Any other Ramirez releases similar to this?

Re: THE RITA
Actually must add Reptilian Corpse and Dirt to this chat now that I have heard it. Really weird release for Sam, even back during that very harsh period. Was unaware this existed, just listened to it, mad decent. Had I heard side A not knowing it was the Rita I doubt I would have ever guessed it wa...

Re: Best of Macronympha
Listened to Crack for the first time today, some really good stuff on there, the track See in particular really knocked my socks off.
Re: Books
Recently finished Portnoy's Complaint. It was fun, funny, sad. I enjoyed it but did find myself somewhat disappointed, I had heard it toted as Phillip Roth's masterwork and having previously read American Pastoral, which I thought was fantastic, I expected Portnoy to be even better. It was not. But ...

Re: Cut Up
that fucking joystick i've also been working on a Kazumoto inspired joystick mixer/switcher What joysticks are you using/where did you get them? I haven't looked around all that much but from what I've seen all the joysticks that I would actually want to build something with seem way more expensive...

Re: Dislikes and turnoffs
As of recent, modern cut-up has been bothersome to listen to; not much variation in sounds being used to the point where it makes modern wall noise look inventive. Would be interested to hear some examples of this. I envision bursts of straight white noise being randomly thrown around the stereo fi...

Re: Happy Noise?
Dan Friel makes some pretty nifty blissed out noisy stuff, although I wouldn't exactly classify it as noise.

Re: Noise in the Mainstream
The intro to American Horror Story is defiantly verging on noise. I'm not a fan of the show, but I do like that intro.

Re: Cut Up
So I just got back from buying 20 random/weird tapes from the 19 cent bin at my local record store with the goal of creating real cut-ups. (I am most excited about the home-dubbed tape labeled "real life conversations," whatever that means.) Any recommendations on tape splicing materials?...

Re: Releases of note (so far) for 2023
I'm really liking Slit Throats - King Of The Monster Trucks (Phage Tapes). Some of the sounds on there do a great job of scratching a certain itch I'm incapable of formulating into words.
