Also many artists and pieces from the Fluxus movement from the 60’s and foreword will fit in on some of your descriptions.

If i understand everything right I think maybe you should check out group ONGAKU (music of group ONGAKU LP, Seer sound archive). Recorded 1960. Weird improv and recorded in different rooms in a house with household objects etc. Check (Automatism). And the Shots-Private hate LP (Careful Caralog). Gra...

Remember it was the distro’s last copy so I picked up another record for the same price and i didn’t need to send it back. Win win situation.

Re: How do you organize your collections?/When do you sell off records?
My collection is organized after different genres, labels, members, countries etc. It’s controlled chaos but it’s the only thing that works for me. I have tried alphabetical once but it felt completely wrong. It’s hard to explain but a genre like Country can be organized in different places in the s...

Re: Dislikes and turnoffs
Fuck me, THE most frustrating experience. Do you request a refund from the distro, contact the label? Do you just eat it and bite your tongue? Maybe both? I guess the distro is responsible for the refund and would (and should) contact the label about it anyways, but I would definitely appreciate fe...

I am very curious about all the talk about "scalpers and flippers". Who are they? And how do they find out about noise releases etc? (wanna feel old?)

Re: Production Techniques
sounds like crap buy an audio interface with good analog to digital conversion. Yep. Been on my to-do-list since… 2008 or so. I don’t think I’ll change my recording routing, but getting better conversions to digital would be fantastic. For the record I record from master tape/4-track into a Zoom th...

Re: Edition Sizes
there's a huge difference between albums and "in-between" stuff to me. This is an interesting note as well, and something I have been thinking about lately. Noise seems to be a genre where albums are consistently released on tape only. In punk and metal tapes are typically used for demos,...

Always recording to 4 track tape recorders. Mono. Someday I will try to learn to recording to a computer but I have have that in mind since 2006. But I’m to uninterested to learn such things. Cause I really love the mix of tape/computer recordings. I have three 4 tracks of the same model plus anothe...

Re: Edition Sizes
When Hanson Records was very active releasing tapes you could always order most of the releases. In the Troniks forum days when releases sold out in a blink it was the opposite and I always admired that. It’s inspired me. If I have tapes, cases and covers I try to have the releases I am happy with a...

Kevin Drumm-Sheer Hellish Miasma 2xLP (editions mego)
Talk about another classic harsh (computer) album I haven’t played for a while. So good!
But I actually think I will prefer this on CD since the composition is broken up in four pieces but it works.

Russell Haswell – Second Live Salvage 2xLP (editions mego) “Second Live Salvage” is a perfect record of pulverizing noise. My question is what other releases of Haswell sounds like this in his discography? The other ones I’ve heard are not in the same genre. Yes, great record. If I remember correct...

Whatever cause booth records slays. “Second Live Salvage” is a perfect record of pulverizing noise. My question is what other rele...

Re: Self Releasing/Starting Labels
Doing your own releases can be a lot of fun and has some advances. You have unlimited freedom of doing whatever you want. You can do whenever you want. Doing 12 tapes in the next 6 months? Why not. You are in control. AND you are responsible at the same time. A very good point here. And you can als...

Re: Noise Rock (Touch & Go, AmRep, Skin Graft, etc)
My absolute favorite band of all time is U.S. Maple (Skin Graft, Drag City). When I first heard them 22 years ago it changed how I listened to music forever. It really sucks that I never watched them play live.
Re: Contemporary Classical / Ambient Classical / etc
One of my favorite records 2021 was the Kajsa Lindgren – Momentary Harmony LP on Recital. I bought it cause i buy everything from Recital. She is from Sweden but i never heard her before but this one really blew my mind. Highly recommended!

Re: THE DREADED GEAR THREAD
I bought an Octatrack almost two years ago and still haven´t learn in. The first thing i did was too erase the whole memory andall the sounds on it. I use it sometimes but more of a recording tool/effect. The first months i read alott about it and looked at tutorials and tried different things but i...
