Spate - Dogmono (Sinkole Entertainment) Excited to sit more with this one. Really enjoying it on the first spin. Some creative sounds and approaches. Even though I like the couple of Robert Fuch's tapes I've heard, I think this easily tops those. Excited to get the Neuter reissue from Total Black a...

Type O Negative - October Rust (hope you enjoyed our little joke) I finally gave Dead Again a proper listen and really enjoyed it. For some reason, was averse to giving it a chance for years. I really like the run of September Sun, Halloween in Heaven, and These Three Things. Need to give it a few ...

Human Skin Lanterns - Skin Stripperess (w/ Roemer, Stella, and Keith Brewer) is definitely worth your time. Which version?! I know that Rodger released two different mixes and I'm not exactly sure what the variations are between the two. I have the original mix I believe as it's the 2008 reissue. F...

Recently discovering Mlehst after seeing the name for many years and being intimidated by the sheer size of the discography. Started with some of the semi-recent reissues on Input Error and thoroughly enjoying the variety and dynamics of the work: Mlehst - Her Single Desire Was Sadistic Pleasure But...

Another one I think is just fantastic is the BT.HN “Vitiated” LP - this thing is so friggin’ heavy, and the packaging is absolutely insane. It blows my mind you can buy this on discogs for like $15. Thanks for the heads up, just found a copy on Discogs last night and scored it for just $16 with shi...

The scum material on the split with Unsustainable Social Condition is extremely good. Guy is killing it this year between this and the Endo collab album.
Also, this is one of my favorite covers in years:

Re: Bastard Noise
I saw Woods perform with Nelson sometime between 2004-2006 in a dive bar and they recently purchased this MASSIVE and ridiculously high-end PA system. They played a long and very dynamic set working through the different harsh and ambient styles. One of the best-sounding noise shows I ever saw and ...

Re: Bastard Noise
The Analysis of Self-Destruction CD I can never really settle on what my favorite Bastard Noise is (all the previous titles mentioned have been my favorite at some point), but this one holds that title for now. Released in 2000, it is still in the realm of batshit crazy jamming the group did early ...

Re: Best of Richard Ramirez/Black Leather Jesus/WWJ/etc
Richard has one of the most vast and complex discographies of any noise artist. He is often pigeon-holed for his harsh noise wall releases but has an incredibly diverse and dynamic pedigree of projects. Is it hard to weed through it all? YES! Are there also quality control issues with releases? ALSO...

Also a 1998 tape by S.P.I.T. called "Bite." S.P.I.T. was a project of Scott Houston of RESPIRATOR, member of BLJ and THRESHOLD OF SLEEP, etc. It's really not very good, but I'm a big fan of the guy's work and curious about his legacy, plus it was on the German label Scrotum Records, so I ...

Re: Now Playing
The new shit. Spring of Life "Brown Bed" has gotten multiple spins recently, broken sputtering and choking sounds done with the most satisfying intentions. A better descriptive review above even if I think it's a little overly critical. Everyone should check this out. Cyezz Afxzs is one of...

Re: Newer names
Discovered an artist this week by the name of Cyess Afxzs . Hails from Northern Ireland. Self-described as post-noise, unique approaches and techniques. I think the post-noise moniker was kind of "big" a couple of years back to describe more recent work of Kazumoto Endo, Like Weeds, Kazuma...

Rainy day here so perfect for checking out the new listening pile. Recently received all of the new White Centipede CDs and digging through this strong batch. There were already some nice reviews posted about the Aprapat and New Boyfriends, but I was most curious by the new K.M. Toepfer as I know ve...

Poor dubbing... Waiting weeks for a European tape to make it to a distro stateside, then waiting a week or two for it to get to your doorstep, only to jam side A which is amazing, flip to side B and only the left/right channel dubbed properly or vice versa... Fuck me, THE most frustrating experience...

It's been great to see so much new A Fail Association material released over the last couple of years. The East. V. c10 on Absurd Exposition is a perfect release. Not a second wasted. I just discovered Boar and I'm extremely impressed, but I need to spend more time digging through the discography. J...
