Re: Grindcore / Noisecore / Powerviolence / Gorenoise

Noxious Threat is a noisecore/-grind band that has prolly gone under the radar for most. I found these guys through their split 7" with Agathocles. Manic, lo-fi, brutal, absolutely golden stuff.

Thanks brah! ROMUTUS also fucking rules, they've been a huge influence for Death Basket and for me in general.

Oh boy, my favourite genres. One album every single gore/grind freak should check out, is Tolerance's Last Days of Capitalism:

Not to even mention Urho's other bands Tunkio, Rust, Beer Terror and Kharkharamapathik.

Absolutely their best in my opinion. When the noise kicks in on the first track I could not help but to burst into laughter the first time I heard it, such a fun record but not in funny way ifyouknowwhatimean

Re: Video games/Interactive art?

The only game I've been playing recently is Project Zomboid. Super fun but challenging zombie survival with endless amount of mods that make it even better.

Re: Now Playing

Strong start for a day with classic compilations; Extreme music from Japan Masonnas track on this comp was the very first harsh noise piece I ever heard back when I was like 14! A true classic for sure. Just cracked open Sissy Spacek's Radio Format box set. Gonna go through it as I reorganize our c...

Re: THE DREADED GEAR THREAD

Prolly the best gear purchase I've ever done was a feedback looper pedal I got last month. Even tho my board is already quite versatile sound wise, that box actually makes it fucking live.

Re: Listening Habits

Noise has definitely became a headphone thing for me, one of the reasons being that I often can't listen to it loud through speakers, and this way I can concentrate better on what I hear, and hear it more clear than through our home hi-fi system playing at apartment building friendly volume levels. ...

Re: THE DREADED GEAR THREAD

I'd love to hear how people are creating their music. Like, do you record live performances or layer tracks for example? Personally I do about equal amounts of both. I tend to go simple when recording, just a single SM57 in front of my guitar amp, sometimes I might use a second mic (usually some Su...
