Best label at the moment? In Finland at least! Came out of nowhere and does everything so good.

But he was always more concerned with making his guitar sound like a dying horse, more than anything else.

Would not say nowhere, the Finnish underground experimental music scene is bubbly and rich and guys like Vilho have excellent international contacts, too. I don't know why is the matter like that but I guess that living in a country that is cold and dark for the most time of the year you need to come up with something rewarding that can be carried out indoors. Such as making noise! Finland is also the land of the kylähullus, the village madmen. I think DIY sound artists proudly join the great continuum.confuzzled wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 9:21 am Wow. //edit. I also think that in Finland it is fairly common to have mental health problems (due to genetics and a culture of school violence and other extremely unfriendly behaviour towards individuals that do not fit the standards) and this is also why some of us decide to lock ourselves in a noise cave to lead a solidary life full of feedback and beeping

Re: SATATUHATTA
Vilho's been doing the good work, but not from "out of nowhere." Some of my preferred releases from the label are:
Aprapat – Chimes Of Entropy (2020)
Corral Shut - Sheer (2023)
Cryptofascisme – Cinq Collines (2023)
Cyess Afxzs – Tàpies (2022)
MNEM - Heart Of Complex (2023)
MOT - Fretted (2022)
Haven't yet heard the new Toanche Dwelling cs but I'm anticipating that one being great.

Re: SATATUHATTA
I guess it makes sense. Siikala's art is like a more misanthropic version of early Harmony Korine. Maybe.
Re: SATATUHATTA
"came out of nowhere" was poor choice of words, but I was lazy.

Ha---the last one was used as the cover of a live tape by Alfarmania! Now I have a name to associate with that artwork. I can see some similarities in interests and even a shared focus on flattening depth to one surface with Palsa and Siikala.D345 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 6:58 amcheck out Kalervo Palsa!
