Was revisiting JK Flesh`s "Posthuman" on the way to work this morning,
I hadn`t heard it in a while. I really like most of what Broadrick has put out under this name, but this one is a bit special. A really hollow dubbed-out grinding sound with guitars and occasional vocals.
This came out before the Godflesh reunion and just after the Grey Machine record (also really good), I remember being really excited he had returned to heavier rhythmic music after the rather drab later Jesu records.
Still prefer this and the Prurient split to the post comeback Godflesh releases.

Came out on a fantastic label too, 3x3music who put out killer releases by Cloaks and Dead Fader. It`s a shame that the label lived such a short life.

just picked that up on the last Bandcamp Friday as I get deeper into the JK Flesh stuff - soooo good and I'm kicking myself for not exploring this side of Broadrick sooner.

i think "dollmaker" is like one of the hardest tracks anyone is going to make ever in the history of the entire universe

"making orange things" and "7 7s med ep" are two releases i really enjoy by v. snares, soooo *nasty*

i've been listening to crossbreed/industrial dnb/hardcore stuff alot in the car lately, i particularly like anything off PRSPCT, detest "the awakening" is like one of my favorite albums ever

the original track that good vibration sample is from kills too

Think this is best suited here.

I was running through a new set for a gig this Friday and I got a decent recording of it. Dubbed it out a bit and put it up as a pay-as-you-want on Bandcamp. Have a listen if you feel the urge.

Also, while I am here what more rhythmic stuff have people been getting into?

Here are a few of mine.

as expected the God is War / Andrew Nolan collab is fantastic,
https://absurdexposition.bandcamp.com/album/the-hunt

Been listening to a fair amount of Dhangsha, ex-member of Asian Dub Fountation , bringing dancehall kicks , bass and noise.
Here`s my favourite
https://dhangsha.bandcamp.com/album/future-tense

Mick Harris`s Culert Dub
https://mickharris.bandcamp.com/album/c ... ession-one ,
way more dreaded out than his recent HedNod sessions, which I love, but this one hits so hard

Gorgonn - Six Paths
https://svbkvlt.bandcamp.com/album/six-paths
illbient electronics from Kevin Martin`s Japanese mate.

Holy Tongue - Deliverance And Spiritual Warfare
https://amidahrecords.bandcamp.com/albu ... al-warfare
Outrageously good dub album...reminds me of early On-U Sound experimentation, Creation Rebel, African Headcharge, New Age Steppers, with a bit more oomph, you need to listen to this if you like good dub.

Looking forward to checking out this new Threat of Innocence tape on Phage. loved his first ep.
https://phagetapes.bandcamp.com/album/omnicidal-reign

Lots more I`m forgetting.

Not stuff I tend to spend much time with, but caught Techlado in Montreal the other night. Self-billed as "dark industrial cumbia/reggaeton".

He's playing with Andrew Nolan and Delta Kane in Toronto tonight.

Really love this one - lots of drum machines, Chrome-esque minimal industrial. "A posthumous release for people who like early industrial music made by punks like Missing Foundation, Factrix and Minimal Man"

Loved all their earlier tapes and appreciated the direction they ended up going with this LP. Tried to book them in Vancouver once about a decade ago but they couldn't make it up. Thankfully got to see them in Seattle opening up for Iron Lung and Column of Heaven.

I am very much not one for dance music specifically. However, around the shutdown of the pandemic, I had gotten into Twitch streaming of personally coordinated shows and somehow came across Soltera. I'm not quite sure what it is specifically about this artist, but I'm hypnotized. I listen to the track "Tengo Miedo"" all of the time and haven't gotten sick of it in the last 3 years.

Recommend material:
https://soltera.bandcamp.com/track/tengo-miedo
https://soltera.bandcamp.com/track/el-b ... lil-arturo
https://soltera.bandcamp.com/album/sin-compromiso-ep

She's recording some new material and I can't wait.

I love all the Mutant Video output with 'missing fingers' probably my favourite.

The newest African Imperial Wizard is also good - to me it sounds like something which could be on Hyperdub or Planet Mu.

I've been crazy about this shit lately - I recently picked up "Fire" which is just out of control. I've had the Soul Jazz compilation "Invasion of the Mysteron Killer Sounds" for a while and really like that but this shit is just nuts. I'm currently out to pick up anything I can find, I had to order "London Zoo" from the UK and hopefully that arrives soon. Been into Zonal and Techno Animal a ton lately too.

Also been really into Plastikman, was really happy to pick up the reissue of "Sheet 1" and the Speedy J "Ginger" album.

I was crazy about DJ Spooky when "Riddim Warfare" came out in 1998, been revisiting that a ton lately as well.
