Re: Introduce yourself
!high from Riga.
good to see familiar names from NoiseWiki forum here.
doing noise and related sound from mid 90's, mainly as Antireality project since '99, varying between noise, drone and abstract. sometimes soundtracks for art/museum installations, few theathre plays and videos. tried to get off the noise several times, it doesn't work. only a few "official" local tape/cdr releases twenty years ago and one in 2019, others are just free downloads.

Re: Introduce yourself
Danish, 41 years old, have been involved in the industrial and black metal scenes since the late '90s mainly as club/gig-arranger. First album as Phenol Injection came out recently on Death in Venice and the second album has just been finished. Style is PE/heavy electronics. I have another project called Black Vault which is more in the death industrial/dark ambient vein. First album will hopefully come out this year as well. Looking forward to talk noise with you guys!
Re: Introduce yourself
Hello!
I'm George from London, UK, and have been going to noise/improv/similar shows in the UK for about 12-13 years. Currently, I help operate Brachliegen Tapes along with the user of that same name on this forum. Trying to become less of a lurker, so I thought I'd sign up!
In terms of solo work, I used to release under the name Schwerpunkt, and currently release under my own name. I've also done some stuff for gallery presentation in collaboration with a live/performance artist in the last couple of years. Most of my work is very process based, in both senses of the word. I really took the TG dictum of 'always run everything through at least one other thing' to heart at a young age I think!
My main project at the moment is the duo Degradation - formerly known as Bootlicker until we received a cease-and-desist email from a Canadian d-beat band. We have just released our first proper LP -https://brachliegentapes.bandcamp.com/album/leadlined
In terms of my interests, I'm very into noise, industrial and related sounds because of the sonics and related creative freedom that comes with them. I used to be more into the 'extremity' concepts but often find it a bit of an intellectual dead end these days.
I've got my various online presences links in my signature, so feel free to check out if films/discogs are of interest.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi everyone, stumbled across the board today, I'm Anthony, I'm in my mid-40s, live in Nyack, NY, and have been making noise since 1995-ish. I recognize a whole lotta you.
Current project is the powerlifting themed Hypertrophy, where I attempt to organically blend cut up, HNW and electroacoustic music, and I'm a part time member of Bastard Noise when circumstance align for me to take part (given that Eric and I are on opposite sides of the country currently.)
if your unfamiliar with my noise, here's a great place to start: https://anthonysaunders.bandcamp.com/al ... ofibrillar

Presenting a mad scientist approach to noise by offering a unique and varied combination of harsh noises to ambient audio and visuals SkruntSkrunt explores the soundscape of the modern desktop, the auditory aspects of bodies, gravity, and the interaction of physical simulation and synthesis.

But he was always more concerned with making his guitar sound like a dying horse, more than anything else.

I'm Anders. Recently relocated from Madison WI to Portland. I've dabbled with making stuff for a few years now under ANHN and Béton Brut but haven't gotten much out there yet. Hoping to change that in the coming years.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hey!
i have a queer noise/powerelectronics project called Frenzied Destruction :)
i first got into noise in the early 2000s from a grindcore / crust background and had my first tape released by the french label underground pollution in 2007 - there were other digital releases that disappeared into the ether. this is one of the reasons physical releases are so important to me from a preservation stand point! i was able to hunt down mine on discogs actually haha. from about 2008-2020ish i was on a "brief hiatus" while i came out as trans and wrestled with chemical dependency etc.
i went through a lot of hard things then and again in more recent years but i kept getting up! i now have my first full length tape release available! Exciting!
you can hear my noise here: https://frenzieddestruction.bandcamp.com

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi everyone, my name is Jonathan, I'm 22 and I live in New Jersey. Really happy to see a forum like this for noise, and it looks like I recognize a few people here already. I currently am working on a noise project with my partner called NaOCl (bleach), I do a solo ambient/drone project called Ring of Sacrifice, and I also play guitar in a black metal/punk band called Sovnya. I have only been into noise for a few years now so I am excited to meet some people on here. Feel free to say hi!

Ian from New England
Pretty new to noise, been listening and exploring for a couple years.
Just trying to learn more from being here, get more involved in the scene and get some feedback on material I’m working on with my first PE project.
