We had to say forever goodbyes to one of our cats today.
He was old and kidneys were in bad shape, but god damn this sucks so freaking much.

That is always hard. I am sad to hear about it. The second to last time we had to put a cat to sleep, I put on Current 93's Of Ruine or Some Blazing Starre and laid in bed with the lights out, listening, occasionally weeping. Maybe you're not into C93 at all, though it certainly helped with my grieving process.
Then I looked into her young eyes
From eighty years she looks back
Into my young eyes
And she is gone
To where?
Where has her soul gone?
Body found yes but her very mark her sign
Lost it seems to me now
Though I feel that she is here still
All around me windsouled
To love is always to live somehow
As long as our eyes are still this colourdull glass
I will not now know her still
This parched scorched earth
Endless wheel of suffering
Great ocean of pain
Blood bucket of grief
Roaring mouth gaped ooh
Of disappointment and despair
Will not then exist
And we shall smile
We shall smile as big as the big crescent moon
Which lies on its arched back and dreams
Of cats and stars and snow
And as before we saw smiley shining stars
And disreaching them
Our arms would wave like a desperate windmill
Hoping, hoping to welcome them home
Now we shall touch them close to our hearts
And what we are
And what we may be
Maybe
Why I have failed?
And all I could have been
And am not
And all I had hoped for
And were not
And everything I hoped
And hoped and hoped and hoped for
I prayed in the morning
And I prayed in the evening
And I got not
From the rotgut God
When all the world starts to shiver
And shimmer and shake all around me
And all the world light was piecemeal and peaceless
This is the atomic pain of the world
The molecular tears
The final crystalline structure of misery
That wind its way around the wooden snakejawed growing spine
Of the worlds, listen; I was taken to be betrayed whenever is hate
To be betrayed wherever is hate
As the body is abused by man
There in the patrapassion edge of the world
The hanging God is invaded
In heart and soul I suffer
You all suffer
You suffer all
I suffer
Suffer, suffer, suffer
The tear blowing world creaks around
And we are broken
Loss
Loss
Light and darkness
Light and darkness
It seems to the little blue and green world
That they do not know each other
But they must finally
The Master says that Satan too shall be forgiven
Forgiven
And suffering before
We suffer too
Here's sixpence, here's sixpence
Go and play and play
In the flaky pale fields that still are somehow this land
And spend oh spend your life away
Spend your spend your night
Away
And waste and waste your life away
Under the bright starlight
Under your yew boned arch light body
You are dead under this shitstained sky
You are dead under the loveless muddy almoststars
You are dead under the sleeping closed eyes of the bhagavan
You are dead under the road and the track and the path
Along the green grass slipping away
Along the snaking way
You are deady, deady
Deadly, deady
Dead
Goodnight
The lights are dead and so are you
The light is dead and so are you

Sorry to hear. I had a cat for ten years and he declined rapidly from lymphoma. My family and/or myself have always had a cat since I was a child. This one was the sweetest, most loving one I ever had. Putting him to sleep two years ago was the hardest thing I've ever done, but I'm glad I did it. He was practically skeletal. I'm still not over it.

With so many new noise projects & so many mysterious faces behind this new wave of interest, enthusiasm, & output; really makes me hopeful to see more noise shows happening on a national & international level. Because without that community interaction & destination this genre kinda just becomes DIY Columbia House.

And I know I'd personally feel quite ripped off if I discovered that I'd been buying tapes & vinyl from some AI chat bot or some extremely wealthy conservative fundamentalist trying to discredit & sway the ideology of an entire artistic movement.

My back is so bad now that I'm going to see a specialist about it.

Right now, I have a package outside of my place that is too heavy for me to bring inside. I can walk around and whatnot, so I feel like people are judging me as pathetic for it. :P

Felt like a total douche couple years ago at work.
I did something and my back said "nope". I could walk even tho it still sucked but work? No way.
Went to my boss and still remember that "yeah right dude...well fuck off then"-stare.

Honestly, waiting for college. I really want to get back in the groove of learning new things. I'm trying to download a ton of Udemy courses in order for preparation for networking classes. Also trying to actually know my software inside and out before I continue expanding my eurorack system. I feel like I'm missing a lot of valuable information when it comes to what my VSTs are capable of.

Being pissed off

Our practiceroom got a rent raise and one of our friend decided to focus on other stuff and leaves the practiceroom.
Now we cant afford that place anymore and trying to find new place is total pain in the ass.
Our bands synth player has a disease that effects his legs badly so places with stairs are no-go. Of course 96% of places available here are behind stairs. Yay.....

Woke up to the news that one of my friends, who I haven't seen in a year, died from a drug overdose a few days ago. I'd wondered how he was doing. This guy won a Grammy award as part of an orchestra. One of the best French horn players in the world. Taught in different countries around the world. Wrote symphonies. Was actually impressed with the material I wrote. Had recently taken time off from his current band to deal with his addiction issues. He was an amazing person and trying to do the right thing. What an absolute kick in the teeth...

Another friend died. This time, it was from suicide. Don't have any details, don't need them.

My birthday is in a few days. Fuck this shit.

Thanks. I'm not sure if it's why I'm in so much pain today, but it wouldn't surprise me if it had something to do with it.

Will do!

I am hoping that something here might help: https://20patch.antisound.net/patch

I think I remember reading a post on Special Interests from a guy who lent his MS-20 to Genocide Organ to use in a show, and that when he got it back he was surprised by the settings that they used. Something tells me that this journey will be very hard... haha

Well, good luck!!!

Btw it's been stupid hot and humid here with a heat index over 100F the past few days. I slept almost all day today. Now I'm out of sports drinks. Great. At least it's supposed to get better in a day or two!

Dang, didn't know that Ohio would get that hot. I'm just thankful things haven't gotten too bad down where I'm at yet, weather-wise.

It's the southern part, near Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia where that tends to happen more. And it's mainly stifling humidity. Dry heat sucks, but it's nowhere near as bad as when it's humid. Cincinnati lies in the Northernmost part of the subtropical zone.

Humidity is the worst. It's about to rain where I'm at, and the heat is unlikely to decrease too much...

Seeing Xome is a little bit of a dream for me. Not to put too fine a creepy weirdo point on it, but Bob's a very special figure as Xome was my first exposure to straight-up, fast, hyper-chaotic capital-H harsh noise. And hearing Xome for the first time completely changed my whole conception of what noise is and what it's capable of.

Still saving up for that jar of mud!
