Here's some recent stuff from my area. Post some from yours! Or somewhere else! It doesn't matter! Nothing matters! Okay, that's not true, some things do...

This band has vinyl out on Detriti (German label) and DREAM. They also run their own label for side projects, tape releases, local acts, etc. You may have also seen some of these acts on bandcamp's front page.

The Serfs - Primal Matter

I strongly recommend these acts on it:

Crime of Passing (also have vinyl out on FEEL IT)

I love Crimes of Passing! Everything I've heard from them is really good.

As far as modern post-punk is concerned, the best and most memorable thing I've heard hands down is the band Product KF from Chicago. They released their debut LP in 2019 on the Chicago Research label which puts out a lot of experimental and noise stuff.

They play a really melancholic type of post-punk with a lot of driving rhythms, though what makes this band stand out for me is their heavy use of found metals as pieces of percussion to provide accents on their work. The end result is something that is extremely frostbitten and desolate sounding. It makes me curious about what their specific influences were, as I hear a lot of Test Dept. and Einstürzende Neubauten. I think found metals-based industrial music and post-punk were meant for each other, I've only ever heard artists like The Ex and Tools You Can Trust really explore it.

Product KF are not on my radar but that description sounds aces.

I really like this album by Hungarian post punkers Padkarosda https://padkarosda.bandcamp.com/album/t ... elkek-2016, I was in Budapest in 2017 and really tried to see them when I was there but it was not to be.

Pretend it's 2005. You're in high school. Myspace is all the rage. Your mom has to drive you to shows.
Your very slightly older, hipper associate in school who plays in bands and shares your interest in "alternative" and "punk" music introduces you to lots of current independent things. You hear about some entertainment from out of town from this guy. Zom Zoms are playing. Cool! You heard them through this guy, and you really dig them (and still do!).

They're awesome. They also brought this other band with them as the opening act. They're called CRY BLOOD APACHE. They're sitting in a corner at the start of the night. They're wearing funny clothes. Their bassist has a cheesy wig on. They set up to play and the guitarist never faces the audience. The singer plays a god damn wooden flute and controls the rhythm track on a drum machine. He sings everything through a Boss delay pedal.

My own wig is thoroughly flipped. It literally feels like the closest thing I'll ever get to seeing (at the time, very impressive) SPK performing Metal Dance on British television. I later record low-bit MP3 streams of all their songs off of Myspace. We both like Rozz Williams... They list Q Lazzarus as an influence... cooooool.... I love these handful of songs from their Myspace so much, I finally work up the courage to ask about ordering their CDr, PERFORMING DIVERSION ACROBATICS. And it is sent to me for free, totally as a surprise. And then they (their bassist, I guess; I think he was the mastermind controlling their online presence) sent me their "Industry Mixtape" CDr as another surprise a while later.

No one seemed/seems to like this band. I don't know why. They're fucking great. Really ahead of the curve in terms of the whole stupid Goth/Post-Punk revival fad, too. Truly passionate, genuine fans doing something totally strange. Out of place and out of time. Gone but not forgotten. Would love to reissue their discography. It's been a dream of mine for quite a few years.

Turns out they're named after an obscure Western named "Cry Blood, Apache". Couldn't find much about the band, but almost the entire album that has the song you posted is on youtube (sans the first track). For some reason, I can only find the youtube videos through some site called sonic hits, however...
