Korg MS-20

I know the MS-20 is kind of a standard in this scene. I thought it would be cool to talk about how we use it, what we use it for etc.

I have the MS-20 mini and am still getting to grips with it but am having a lot of fun. Right now I'm dialling in sounds from the manual guide and adjusting them to sound the way I want.

I pretty much use it for a drone or pulse. I quite like playing with the lowpass filter and peak knobs when playing higher notes.

I love processing external sources with it, the filters are incredible.
A relatively easy trick is processing its own sound from the headphone jack. Gives the oscillators some distortion.
To get some boosted pink noise, you can put put it through the external processor.
The thing is a ton of fun and there's seemingly endless connections. It interacts with itself in some crazy ways that you might not expect.
