Buried in slag and debris - 4 new releases: North Shield, Murmur/Fowl, KNURL/ARTBREAKHOTEL, Howard Stelzer & dang.

4 new releases out today on Buried in slag and debris:

——————

North Shield - Seine and Frozen Red River (2xCS)
Nathan Ivanco and Bret Parenteau deliver us the second release by North Shield (via Hamilton-Winnipeg). A veneer of tranquil drones and fluent loops, Seine and Frozen Red displays a blur of haunting recordings adrift on a spectral surface.

——————

Murmur / Fowl - Balcony
Balcony is a split cassette between Murmur (Ross Henteloff, Toronto), and Fowl (Ben Symonds, Montreal). Both artists bring their unique take on buried textures, distortion ranges, and audio muffles moving in and out of covert locations.

——————

KNURL / ARTBREAKHOTEL - Scrap Metal Labyrinth (2xCS)
KNURL (Alan Bloor, Montreal, CA) and ARTBREAKHOTEL (Nobuo Yamada, Saitama, Japan) unite to investigate the scope of harsh and ambient junk-metal in a fictional setting. Scrap Metal Labyrinth is a multi-levelled exploration of amplified and acoustic junk-metal resonating the movements through a labyrinth. Don’t get lost!

Howard Stelzer & dang. - A Peal
A Peal is a collaborative subject composition by Howard Stelzer (Massachusetts, US) and dang. (Danielle Jakubiak, Halifax, CA). HS & dang. analyze and eerily reinterpret a mass sphere of resonating tones bound by bells used in everyday life.

Mastered by Grant Richardson
