BEAT SHIT
BEAT SHIT
Open Thread for the more rhythmically ninded
Current listening / thoughts / gear/ anything....
Been listening to the recent OCOSI releases on Ohm Resistance. Really ace. Mid period Scorn is an obvious reference point but with a noisier almost Esplendor Geometrical style looped clatter.
Also, the new Submechanical tracks are killer. Broken, massively saturated in the red industrial dub.

Re: BEAT SHIT
Great thread, since i'm listending to that kind of sounds a lot. I'll just throw in some of my current favorites for the beginning.
Nick Klein! Guess he might be well know for US-noise-fellas.
That tape slaps SO hard! https://privatearchive.bandcamp.com/album/current-rider
I've seen him play live 3 times so far which was always great, but had loved to see him play around that time tho: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIKQGmdwNFo
And i love his low paced stuff, which he manages to make sound even harder (especially when considering all that awful and boring high-bpm-"industrial"-techno nowadays): https://nickklein-alter.bandcamp.com/al ... ing-coffin
Beau Wanzer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWqus96sUjA
Gamma Intel: https://pinkman.bandcamp.com/album/gene ... sinteresse

Re: BEAT SHIT
current listening on this front - JK Flesh "Suicide Estate" (a few years old but new to me), Andrew Nolan's "Black Creek" and "Lonely Water" releases, and digging through Mick Harris' FRET releases.
Re: BEAT SHIT
Big fan of most Mick Harris stuff, but never really gelled with FRET, not sure why, maybe a bit too dense for me. Really liking his new Hednod sessions releases though
Love those Andrew Nolan releases,
quick plug..there`s a Like Weeds / Andrew Nolan split C30 on its way from Industrial Coast, his side is fantastic.

I really like this, need to dig a bit deeper into his catalogue. Thanks for the linkage.

Re: BEAT SHIT
Have been obsessively listening to the Lenny Dee/MissFlower 12" - I Called You / Trash Talking. Spanking hardcore/gabber that gets me gassed up for the supermarket.

i'm also gonna self-promote a bit here: https://chryptus.bandcamp.com/album/yellow-keycard-ep Shadowcorp. Yellow Keycard EP, low-bpm, live and analog recordings straight to tape, inspired by the failed dreams of technological optimism.

Nostilevo is always worth checking out.
Quite diverse output which could be best described as "weirdo electronics".
These should make a good starting point:

Re: BEAT SHIT
Jamming some old Venetian Snares, it's been a minute since I listened, and not too fond of some of the later stuff I heard, but fucking "Doll Doll Doll" and "Find Candice" is still raging.

Re: BEAT SHIT
Ron Morelli's 'Disappearer' on Hospital still sees really heavy rotation, even a few years down the line. A big fan of L.I.E.S. on the whole but don't really keep a close eye. The new German Army is excellent.
Beau Wanzer seeing a lot action these days when I'm in the mood. This too: https://privateselection.bandcamp.com/a ... odes-ps006.
Have been most obsessed lately with this clique of Russians(?): https://youtu.be/cQzr_eteoa8?t=522

Speaking of L.I.E.S., was listening to the JT Whitfield record on the commute this morning. Really fantastic work.
Huge fan of that guy`s material in general, have not heard a bad release by him.

Need to go back and listen to all of them, I seem to remember 7 being particularly good.
Thanks for grabbing that split, was really happy to do that and Andy`s tracks are fucking ace.
You need some good subs for my third track, I take it down way low.

Re: BEAT SHIT
Been all about British Murder Boys, Regis and Female over the last few days.
Hard as nails minimal repetitive machine music.
Wish I had been cool enough to go to those House of God nights in Birmingham in the 90s. Would have been ace.
Was too busy listening to Suppression.
