A raging tape hiss filled BLJ release. This reissue on CD has gotten so many plays this year for me. I usually put it on when I'm indecisive on what to listen to.
Something about BLJ just works for me. The ultra minimal sound of junk, feedback, vocals and something fairly unusual for BLM this one has guitar on it? A lot of BLJ releases sound fairly the same on a first listen but I have found diversity in their releases. This release is void of the typical smutty voice clips. Pure noise! Its messy as fuck and the latter half of the release is pretty strange. I love that the reissue just boosted the levels and left all the nasty tape hiss. Nothing earth shattering here but there is something special about not trying to reinvent the wheel.
Highly recommended for and RR/BLJ heads out there. I have been on a 90s noise kick lately and this one sticks out.
