And hardcore/punk is my main passion really even still. Grew up with it, been about it for... over 20 years now? Shit, probably 25 years. Played in a few bands through the years, these are my two current bands:
I'll check these out. I haven't heard them and I remember sharing the stage with Daudyflin a few years ago in Barcelona, and that was kind of a wild night. Also I'm potentially coming to Iceland in 6 weeks granted Covid allows it so it's always good to know more local punk stuff.

Nice! Yeah Fannar from Dauðyflin plays in D7Y with me. Drop me a message when you know if you’ll be able to come over and I’ll recommend some stuff to do around here.

Thanks man! Glad there are some people out there into it. I’m still really happy with it but I know it’s a weird one.

Got the new 7” from Paranoid - probably IMO the most consistent current hardcore band out there. I really fucking love the vibe they put out.
praise no deity was last good paranoid release. kinda liked kind of noise ep tho

remembered that this existed. as good as always! "siberian suicidal post punk"
nice old school industrial influences as well.
here's documentary about siberian (soviet) punk if you are interested in such stuff. https://youtu.be/52_wQAbWHp8

Does anyone happen to know anything about this label? now it's probably not the best time to order anything from russia. But they seem to have reissued Nurse with Wound too? Other great stuff too.

The D7Y record is really cool! I think i have seen you live sometime as well, maybe at the K-town festival?
So many great new punk/hc-bands these last few years! If i should pick one i really like it would be Kaleidoscope, real arty hardcore. The lp is brilliant.
I just ordered a copy of Agoni “En Röst För Fred 1984-1986” LP - really excited for this one. Doom’s “Hail to Sweden” is a long time favourite and one where I tried to find out about every band they covered but Agoni were always hard to figure out. I’ve never heard the Agony LP either and want to track that down as well.

Fucking wow! Sometimes I forget how much I love Nuit Noire.
Black metal, blackened punk, fuzzy-whatever, I love it... (Not sure which thread I should talk about this project in).
I found out about the latest album pretty late, got VERY into it, then life got in the way. As it always does. Dusting this fucking gem off and falling in love all over again on another workaday scumbag-drunk weekend.

One of those fairly obscure "cult" bands that most of us only know from grotty vinyl rips in 192Kbps MP3 format downloaded through Soulseek.
A band that occupies some sloppy, frenetic space of the sonic continuum between Kilslug and Minor Threat. One that never congealed into something more fully-realized and intentional. Dime-a-dozen late-70's/early-80's, snotty bratcore shit, in other words. And it's fucking great. Certainly, one of those dozens of relatively faceless "KBD" bands that sleeps in the darker recesses of my many harddrives, only to be awakened during esoteric alcoholic rites. But they have a particular something that really sets them apart for me. I am not entirely sure what it is.
Inexperienced, angry, full of angst, don't know how to deal with any of it. Not in any serious position to bitch about any of it either. Is it normal to feel like this at my age? I love this band. A perennial favorite, though I often forget it until they icepick themselves back into my recollection at random, delirious intervals.
DON'T PANIC, IT'S ALRIGHT!

I haven't been following the Agathocles release churn for some years, but I was paying attention back when they released From Grey ....... To Black. I'm sure there is some incredibly mundane explanation behind the decision to release what sounds like some of Jan's solo bedroom stuff as an Agathocles album, but it felt so very out of left field, it really threw me for a loop in the best way possible. I know there's at least one split 7" from around this period with the same variety of material on it.
Anyway, great, weird stuff. Sounds demented and cruddy as hell, yet it's totally infectious. A true inspiration for the children.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't been paying much attention to Agathocles after letdowns such as Thanks For Your Hostility, Humarrogance and Suppository/Agathocles split. However I liked the Jan AG/Tekken split from 2003 a lot because the Jan AG songs are ridiculous and a lot of fun and this CD seems to be exactly like that one!

Looking forward to the new Wound Man - I have a couple of 7"s. Haven't heard Brain Tourniquet before but I'm going to give them a listen today as well.
Finally saw them in 2014 (almost a decade ago already, what the actual fuck) with Infest and Iron Lung. They covered Discharge's A Hell On Earth (not sure if that's in their usual repertoire or not) and it was sick.
Wait a minute actually, were you there? Surely didn't see you, but it was on your turf.
