Does Shaun run any label anymore?
As far as I know, all labels are defunct, Palinopsia Recordings was closed to give space for Tension Collapse but that was short lived, and Needle and Knife I'm not sure, also it's a HNW only label, you would need to ask Shaun.
There's also this https://emptywarehouse.bandcamp.com/
I think this is latest of their labels? Don't know why to make a new label now and then. Good works nonetheless, love Shauns collage art.
Glad I looked back at this thread, it's nice to see a recap of Shaun's label work, some of which I've been unaware of. My contact with them has been fleeting, but good.

I think it's great when anyone can find community. We are after all pack animals.

Also, as someone getting reacquainted with noise I was not familiar with Ramirez's sexuality and it doesn't move the dial for me in either direction. Much like as a kid I didn't know that the singer from Judas Priest was gay. The internet wasn't a thing back then. He was a guy in leather with a killer voice who rode a motorcycle on stage. He was a metal god. Finding out more about him as time went on was an added bonus.

If being gay is how you want to be identified as a musician then by all means have at it! Sorry that you have to put up with ignorant bullshit.

i think its wonderful that theres more trans + queer noise musicians involved in the scene then when i first got interested in the early 2000s, back then if i met someone else who was trans id get all excited about it because it was such a rare occurrence, but now its almost a stereotype for transfeminine people to be into noise - which is great really.

bumping this old thread to highlight a couple of amazing artists i've been listening to a ton of recently.

GENDERISTHEBASTARD
https://genderisthebastard.bandcamp.com/
Amazing Liverpudlian harsh noise / deathgrind artist. Found them through the Hard Return release (PANSY ELECTRONICS) but there's an amazing array of different sounds on there. Love their work, love the diversity of sounds from release to release.

Uboa
https://uboa.bandcamp.com/
The Origin of my Depression is fucking excoriating, obviously, and managed to get some play among non-noise focused critical channels (always nice) but I really love everything she does - she's got an amazingly distinct sound, which is really impressive to me. Something about the use of delay & fuzz? I realise I'm being a gear pervert at this point but I really want to know how she makes things sound like that because it fucking rules.

also wanted to shout of the Legion of Doom split on Doughgirl Industries (a label to watch for sure) between Straight Panic / Faggot Front / Ragk / Gay Death, extremely fucking good stuff

if anyone's got other artists to throw in please let me know, i'm always on the look out for more queer noise!

Not exclusively queer, but there is a recent publication from Permanent Draft entitled Basta Now: Women, Trans & Non-Binary In Experimental Music that may be of interest.
Basta Now: Women, Trans & Non-binary in Experimental Music is a non-academic essay by French poet, novelist and music enthusiast Fanny Chiarello. It’s also the first book to be published by Permanent Draft, an all-female record label and micro-press founded by musician Valentina Magaletti and writer Fanny Chiarello, dedicated to promoting contemporary female, non-binary and transgender artists.

This comp sort of flew under the radar perhaps, but it's relevant:
