No sleep last night. Feeling like I'm drunk. Hoping I can sell enough tapes to my record store that I can justify getting another record I want (already ordered one from there...).

the guy upstairs, small flat, just got a divorce, is very techy, and wanted to test his speakers, assured me it was fine. now nothing works. the scariest thing is a 3u was plugged in, in a roundabout way, at the time. not thinking of selling, and it still boots up, but FFS. I suspect him of being a spy, as well as a sadist.
also, miltonesque smut.

random question, but I don't feel like making noise rn, and I'm a bit worried I'm gonna forget how to.

At this point I deliberately stopped playing my guitar, and I don't think I will start again until I have forgotten how to play it.

I think it depends on a lot of different factors. I think many musicians would agree with me when I say that, if you've played something for a long time, you will probably never completely forget how to play it. You can get a bit rusty, sure, but rust can be polished and restored to its original splendor given enough effort. Sometimes, time away from your instrument can even be a good thing!

Been sick all week.
Hope I don't infect other people.
Corporate policy is to blame not my germs!

ah yeah, some rust may actually help, for so long as I don't end up clueless again.thatonekidatshows wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 2:44 pmI think it depends on a lot of different factors. there did seem to be an on/off thing with noise, a point where it "clicked". no idea if that's general to making anything.
turn it up!

Smog warning tomorrow. Today (well, yesterday) I felt overheated, despite having a dehumidifier and air conditioning going, in addition to drinking gatorade. Not sure what's up. I'm a little worried that I could be sick.

Happy to have a small break/"vacation". Going to Italy for a festival tomorrow and then I'll have roughly two weeks off. Much needed.

At work. two more hours... next week is summer shutdown. longest two hours of my life waiting for the shortest nine-day break-cation ever.

I'm streaming an album of mine, VMS Elit - Fumes, because I apparently don't have the master. Don't think I've heard it since it was released. It's pretty good.

I saw someone working at ilosaarirock at mainstage and wearing a Hijokaidan shirt and said "nice shirt!" I wonder if that was you? I worked there as security because I'm young and need money.
But he was always more concerned with making his guitar sound like a dying horse, more than anything else.

Ok, I was just wondering how small the world can be. But apparently that mainstream music festival was filled with noise enthusiasts. (I saw that Hijokaidan shirt guy and half of Edge of Decay so if I'm counted in that makes it 3 out of 70 000)Namahs wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 12:55 pmAwesome! Wasn't me though. Ilosaarirock seems to be one of the "most open minded"-festival here. Nice mix of bands usually.

My birthday was yesterday, it went well. Had my favorite local pizza with family, went home and fell asleep. 11/10, would recommend.
