Been scoping these out at bandcamp. I still feel bit overwhelmed with releases that are 1 hour track, 2 30min tracks or 5-7 20min tracks. But I'm learning and getting there slowly. Search for shorter stuff and grow with the longer releases.

For Werewolf Jerusalem my go-to is The Flies of our Tragic Dear CD on Breathing Problem.

That boxset is on par with any of the other classic 1990's "Americanoise" acts (Skin Crime, Macro...). Volume 2 coming later this year hopefully.

What Crash at Every Speed releases would you say are the best?

Richard has one of the most vast and complex discographies of any noise artist. He is often pigeon-holed for his harsh noise wall releases but has an incredibly diverse and dynamic pedigree of projects.

Is it hard to weed through it all? YES! Are there also quality control issues with releases? ALSO YES! However, he has created a massive amount of amazing material strewn throughout the immense catalog and I think it's worth the time and effort to sift through it all. I'm about to add WAY too much but I love Richard and all of his projects and find all of these to be very worthwhile releases.

Werewolf Jerusalem's "Untitled IV" is my go-to. Far and away it is the best Werewolf Jerusalem release, in my opinion. It is just so creepy and atmospheric in a way that not many other noise releases capture. "God Has Shot Himself" and "Damned" are also worth checking out.

For Richard, I enjoy the more emotional, dynamic, and mutant sections of his output. I'm not an expert, I definitely haven't soaked up material from all of his myriad projects, nor have I dove into a majority of material from any single alias/collaboration, but I've definitely combed through a ton of his work and have had dozens and dozens of releases he's been a part of slide in and out of my possession. Here are a handful of things that I'll be taking to the grave.

For Richard Ramirez stuff, I absolutely love 'Memorial' and 'I Keep My Stuff Inside'.

I'm a big fan of Black Leather Jesus' 'Hell'. Definitely one of the more demented BLJ recordings.

I also have a huge soft spot for his incredibly minimal—almost ambient—crumbles as Kourei. The 6xCDr set is worth grabbing and I really enjoyed the release he did on Buried In Slag And Debris.

Finally—most of the Slave Labor material fucking rips, but I'm sure I'm not really adding anything to the conversation by saying that.

With all of that said, I'm definitely a bit exhausted by the amount of both reissues and new releases he puts out, but I can also understand the hustle of trying to sustain one's self as an artist. So—if it's working for him, that's great, but the oceanic surplus of releases takes up a lot of real estate.

I think my go to are the Threesome Slitting LP & 7” just because they’re the perfect representation of three artists I love. You can add the “US Tour” tape on Foul Prey as well. I don’t have a huge cross section of RR/BLJ/WJ/etc releases, probably 30 or 40 in total bit I always enjoy them and try to pick them up when I can but I’m not as obsessive as I am with The Rita.

The Amplified Tactics DLP is another great one, just a perfect presentation and great sets.

If I had to pick one project that was a favourite I think it would be Black Leather Jesus just for the sheer over the top outrageousness of it.
