I'm thinking of getting that discordance axis TID LP reissueas it's favorite grind record ever, but 50€ with shipping is a bit steep...
Maybe I should go revisit it - I was sort of checked out of the grind stuff at the time it came out.

I do also want that DA LP - I flipped my CD copy during a purge as prices were pretty high and I sort of regret it, but I’d love to have an LP version….

I fell out of the loop with grindcore since about 2015. I was really into stuff like Discordance Axis, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Agents of Abhorrence, Hatred Surge, Total Fucking Destruction... What did I miss ? What albums would you guys recommend ?

No One Knows What The Dead Think and Formless Master might tickle your fancy. First one features members of Discordance Axis, both feature members of Gridlink. Kinda "clean" grind but still tight.

beggin for oxys has been played a lot at my household recently. prefect blend of noisecore, grind, powerviolence and general "we play whatever shit we want" attitude. i need to catch up on their newer stuff but my favs are probably "just another tired-ass powerviolence record" and "radical urban isolation".

https://begginforoxys.bandcamp.com

scab addict rules as well, made a split with beggin for oxys and that's how i got to know these bands you know, just browsing who has done what with whom and finding a ton of rad stuff at once. pretty much straight forward noisecore. i think it's one person behind most of it and according to social media they seem like an overall cool fella. the release "ether junkie" goes hard.

https://scabaddict.bandcamp.com

gasp is one of my all time favourite bands and i feel they're criminally underrated. their style is hard to describe but it falls close enough to this thread's topic. i've described it as "artsy powerviolence", but there's definitely enough grind and noise elements for fans of the rougher stuff. it's definitely chaotic. "drome triler of the puzzle zoo people" should be a classic.

fluoride kicks ass as well. aggressive powerviolence with a lot of grindcore in the mix, or vice versa, idk. definitely a huge influence on aforementioned virhe.
https://fluoridegrind.bandcamp.com

deplete from siberia of all places is of similar style; but adds a bit more noise elements into the mix. glad i remembered to mention them here since digging for the bandcamp link i noticed they've recently released new stuff.
https://depleteviolence.bandcamp.com

saw the username mentioning limbs bin in another thread, and that stuff is damn great too. and then there's deprivation tactics/goth girl/holy grinder/etc.... when i think of one name, ten others pop to mind as well. i could go on and on hijacking this topic so maybe i'll just step back for now :)

internal rot is definitely one of the better acts nowadays. also melting rot, their newest release "blood delusions" ended a slump i was having when no music brouht me any joy. everything that's fun about grindcore done damn well. straightforward no-nonsense stuff!
a lot of rot -bands in the grind scene apparently, lol.

TRIPLE BASS? Will check out.

Death Toll 80k are premium Finnish grind. I love that band (but I don’t have the last 12”).

I know it’s more groovy death metal than grind but INCINERATED are just the cream of the crop. I love that LP. They are associated with Internal Rot (IIRC) so clearly they’re relevant here.

I do the noise/ electronics in Depraved. PV from the SFV, CA. Our last show was the first Zesta Grande in 2019. We're coming back this year for a mini tour with Mangled State in April then doing Dreary North Fest in Chicago. Looking forward to Dreary North the most because that will also be the first show I play as my solo noise project, Zebes.

Anyone else going to Dreary North? The Rita, Richard Ramirez, Psywarfare and others are playing too

not going but brett, one of the organisers of dreary north (i think?? at least that's what i've figured from his social media presence...) was supposed to release virhe's demo tape at the states at one point. i've messaged him about if he'd want to release the demo + our new ep as a sort of compilation tape or whatever. seems like a cool but hella busy guy.

also wanted to say that depraved is a very nice band. is the band still active?

Yeah active in the sense that we are working on new stuff but very slowly. After that Zesta Grande show the singer moved to Las Vegas so when we work on this new stuff it's us 4 and we bring in the vocals in the end. Nothing is final until we all agree with it. We have 2 split 7"s we are committed to and working on another lp.

Oh my favorite music. Grindcore and subgenres was also my gate to into noise.

I have played in many grindcore/noisecore projects, but my main project has been Tunkio now couple years
NSFW material in arts https://tunkio.bandcamp.com/

Lawnmower is now my solo noisecore/experimental/whatever project. Im using fields recordings, sometimes just noise or straight noisecore recordings to my works. I dont have bandcamp or anything, but some material can be listened from earlier in this topic mentioned label Whats The point Records bandcamp page.

I was also doing noisecore band Beer Terror before we started Tunkio. https://beerterror.bandcamp.com/ in our bandcamp is most of our discography.

Last couple weeks I have been listening lots of Maggot Vomit Afterbirth. Really punk sound and songs with great producing. Basically nothing new for genre, but sounds fresh for my ears. Bonus points for no samples between songs. NSFW arts again https://maggotvomitafterbirth.bandcamp. ... he-maggots
