originally planned in 1997, this project was resurrected at last years hospital fest after the violent debut performance from autoerotichrist. anyone that was in attendance can attest to the physical intensity and sonic pressure of their set. / ames sanglantes is one of the longest and most underrated noise projects from canada and would become central to the hospital core roster since 1999. having crushed apathy with the insane 12 hour crackdown box set and the streamlined dark ambient noise masterpiece ‘chindia tower impalements’ 3xcd these tracks throw you back into the violence of noise created in the subterfuge of functional organization and alchemy records – informed by long since deceased darkness productions from germany. ubiquitous but elusive legend – eric boros from hermit emerges with one standout track of textural, detailed and difficult homemade noise scaffolding he is known for. / hermit waged a relentless campaign in the 90’s noise circuit working alongside many well known acts such as bastard noise, thirdorgan, facialmess and namanax to name just a few. eric boros, through total sound, imagery, and sonic ideology lived outside the bounds of society as well as influencing many in the underground sound world of it’s time. it is a deep honor to finally have a hermit appearance on hospital as his dedicated work on garbage society and later manufacture served as core influence in the early days in the ‘underground below the underground’ or ‘shit noise scene’ that so many noise and grindcore children convened in, in the mid to late 90’s. / something that makes this three way split special is that rather than releasing old material, all the artists have created something new that flows with the spirit of ancient underground but looks forward to new psychic battles. / includes free newsprint poster with incredible and vital art from hermit. / edition of 206.
