Moving Foundation is the first release from Dead Wood since 2016’s collaborative effort with Dogeeseseegod. Dead Wood is the primary solo project of Adam Baker, who’s responsible for the Amps Against Trend and Dirty Demos labels, as well as having been part of, amongst many others, Samgonka, Lebyatkins, and No Context. This release sees Dead Wood firmly in it’s harsher mode, with bassy rumbles underneath swirling echos, layers of feedback drifting in and out, and on occasion, a rarity in dead wood material, topped with distorted vocals. A great addition to the body of work from this enduring project, a true master of DIY experimental and noise music in the UK.
