GX JUPITTER-LARSEN, RICHARD RAMIREZ & BOSSES HANG – Movement Under Construction CS
$11.00
Out of stock
This project came into being when Raul Starcz of Bosses Hang (based in Romania) connected with GX Jupitter-Larsen and Richard Ramirez, veterans of the American noise scene, in the hopes of putting together a remote collaboration. Created during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, “Movement Under Construction” combines Ramirez’s trademark walls, Jupitter-Larsen’s immediate and visceral noise style and Starcz’s destroyed and weeping synthesizers. But a vein of tonality runs throughout these two pieces as well, contributed by GX and simultaneously retrospective and foreboding. Full of melancholy and nostalgia, this project seems to transport the listener to a vague yet alluring past. Or perhaps an ominous and ever-approaching future is being beckoned. Either way the effect seems to be the same: a hazy feeling of being out-of-time, reaching forward and backward out of the present, grasping for solidity.
