K2 is Japan’s primevil noise musician since the early 80’s. Hypertrophy is K2’s first material decomposed from reworkings and reprocessing of previous material, comprising the Tekhnodrug cassette. Hypertrophy ranges from dense electronic drones to intricate sample processing and eloquent synthesizing and layering of sound as only K2 can achieve. A 60 minute journey into the expanse of scrap metal alchemy. Hypertrophy stands as an important document in the evolution of K2’s trademark sound and greater contributions to electronic music. Originally released on Banned Productions in 1994. The original artwork was used to create new pieces for this release. Pro duplicated Cassettes in 6X9” envelopes with color artwork and insert. Edition of 150 copies.
