Otterans is the current solo project of Jamie Grimes, a mainstay of the Irish underground, in the past having been part of Drainland and Vircolac amongst many others. Here on his debut release, he creates mostly guitar based soundscapes. Half the material has it’s origins in an abandoned horror soundtrack, which helps create the real sense of atmosphere these tracks hold. Another great release from an artist with an already incredibly strong back catalogue.
