OA110: Straight Panic/Feral Torch Split
Two artists from either side of the Atlantic join up for this split,
USA’s Straight Panic and Ireland’s Feral Torch. Straight Panic needs
little introduction, one of the premier queer voices in US noise, the
project has been incredibly prolific it’s decade plus of existence,
releasing with dozens of notable labels. Feral Torch is the project of
Irish artist Alan Doyle, formerly of the all too short lived, much
missed psych noise punks Wolfbait. The two projects compliment each
other perfectly for this split, and whilst you could use power
electronics as a vague descriptor for them both, here they both draw
from a wealth of experimental sound outside of that bracket, creating
forward thinking tracks, with each project still retaining it’s own
