Born in Cosenza, in 1983, Zona Industriale was one of the italian Industrial pioneers, even though it has kept vastly neglected with the exception of a few devoted followers. Originally released by ADN in 1985, and later reissued by Slaughter Productions in 1996, “Neutro” is arguably the pinnacle of its discography, an unclassifiable and primitive merge of field recordings, broken rhythms drenched in distant echoes, industrial wasteland reverberation and cryptic references.
Milestone of an era, representative of an embryonic aesthetics that surpassed obsessive subgenre partition in favor of the pure creative freedom only material limitation can generate, “Neutro” is a historical document that Narcolepsia is extremely proud to unearth once again for new listeners to discover and older ones to revisit.
